Elegbeji Has The Political Wheel To Attract Democratic Dividends To The People - Oyesanya

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Industry, Trade, and Investment, Hon. Sunday Olalekan Oyesanya, has described the APC House of Representatives candidate for the August 16 bye-election, Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji, as an impeccable personality with a strategic approach to delivering democratic dividends to the Remo Federal Constituency.
Speaking during an interview, Hon. Oyesanya emphasized the need for the electorates to vote for the APC, highlighting the industrial drive of the current state administration, which has attracted numerous industries to Ogun State. Excerpts

Q: Kindly give us a brief summary of your profile, sir.
A:I ventured into active politics in 2019, when I aspired to represent my constituency at the State House of Assembly.
I was later appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Gateway Trading Company Ltd. After the expiration of my first tenure, I was reappointed in same capacity on Industry, Trade and Investment.
Before joining government, I had over a decade-long career in the corporate world, where I worked as a software quality assurance expert. I consulted for various organizations in both the public and private sectors, including His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC), where I worked with the Valuation Office Agency.
I also consulted for the Bank of Scotland, Zurich Insurance, Transport for London, among others. My roles often involved checking for Quality compliance in software, overseeing development projects testing with the aim of enhancing organizational performance. Today, I serve as an SSA to the Governor.

Q: As the SSA to the Governor on Industry, Trade and Investment, how have you contributed to the industrialization of Ogun State?
A: I prefer to speak practically, not theoretically. His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has taken significant steps to industrialize the state, particularly by investing in infrastructure. If you travel along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway or the Sagamu-Abeokuta Expressway, you'll notice several new industries emerging along these corridors.
A few months ago, Dangote renewed efforts to revitalize the Olokola Free Trade Zone, and the Governor has continued to support this initiative. The Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport is another testament to the administration's private sector-driven approach. This will create massive employment opportunities for both skilled and unskilled labour. Many graduates have already gained employment through such initiatives.
In the Ministry, we also conduct industrial training and facilitate investments that will generate wealth and increase government revenue.

Q: You mentioned the Olokola Free Trade Zone. Do you think it can create up to one million jobs as speculated?
A: While I may not be in a position to disclose exact figures, I can assure you that the project will generate massive employment opportunities. The implementation will occur in phases, and each phase will create numerous jobs. The plan includes both strategic and operational phases, and I'm confident the employment impact will be significant for the state.

Q: Hon. Elegbeji is the APC candidate for the House of Representatives. What is your reaction to this development?
A: Hon. Elegbeji is more than capable. She has the qualifications, the political wheel , and the energy required for the job. Representation at the Green Chamber isn't just about making laws, it's also about strategically attracting development to one's constituency.
Looking at her past achievements in Remo land, her performance had been outstanding. Since she  joined active politics in 2014, she had remained in touch with the people, understanding their needs and advocating for them effectively.
I am confident she will deliver on her promises. She has a deep passion for uplifting the grassroots, which is key to good governance. She possesses the capacity to represent Remo at the National Assembly. She understands how to defend the interest of her people and present compelling arguments on the floor of the House.
Let me summarize four key reasons why voters should support her:
1. Grassroots Connection: She resides in Remo and understands the people intimately.
2. Qualification & Experience: She is a seasoned professional with strong industrial and legislative competence.
3. Bold & Articulate: She cannot be intimidated on the floor of the House. She has the courage and clarity to speak up.
4. Party Synergy: With both the Federal and State Governments led by the APC, it is strategically wise to elect an APC lawmaker to ensure synergy and fast track  development.
